Scooter care, dos and donts

Do’s and don’ts of good scooter care

Taking proper care of your scooter helps keep it running smoothly, safely, and reliably for years to come. A few simple habits can make a big difference to battery life, performance, and comfort. Follow these do’s and don’ts to keep your scooter in top condition:

✅ Do:

  • Charge your batteries for at least 8 hours every night after use, and if possible, the night before use.

  • Charge your scooter overnight at least once a week when not in use.

  • Make sure the scooter key is turned off before plugging in the charger.

  • Ensure the charger is powered off when plugging in or unplugging the scooter.

  • Keep the scooter well protected from the weather.

  • Drive slowly through puddles (no deeper than 20mm).

  • Keep your scooter clean.

  • Have your scooter serviced regularly.

  • Maintain the correct tyre pressure (between 20 to 30 psi).

  • Let us know if you notice any faults developing.

  • Be sensible and reasonable in what you expect your scooter to do.

❌ Don’t:

  • Turn the key off while the scooter is moving, except in an emergency.

  • Lean heavily on the steering column when getting on or off.

  • Drive fast over rough ground.

  • Drive fast when going up or down kerbs or bumps.

  • Overload the scooter with heavy loads or accessories.

  • Allow anyone unauthorised to repair, adjust, or service your scooter — it could cause damage and void your warranty.

  • Drive on the beach, in water, or through deep dry sand.

  • Switch from Freewheeling Mode to Drive Mode while the scooter is still moving.

  • Rapidly accelerate or brake unless necessary.

  • Let children play with the scooter unsupervised.

  • Let someone much heavier than yourself use the scooter (unless it’s designed to take their weight).
